Jake is a senior from Oregon majoring in Law, Societies, and Justice and interested in emergency medicine and orthopedics. He works on the Giachelli research team researching the calcification of valve interstitial cells in the department of Bioengineering. He is also a Resident Advisor in Lander Hall. Jake is an avid runner, loves to hike and enjoys almost any outdoor activity.This is his third year as an officer in AEΔ and is excited to take on the current challenges to put on another great year of AEΔ!
Taylor is a senior majoring in Biology with an intended minor in Global Health. Taylor has spent extensive time overseas shadowing and has worked on vaccination research for her local county. She is a passionate future healthcare worker that hopes to incorporate inclusivity and diversity. In her free time, she enjoys running and hanging out with her dogs.
Jordan is a Junior from Arizona majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Nutrition. She is a coordinator for Camp Kesem, an RSO dedicated to supporting kids through and beyond their parent’s cancer, and volunteers regularly with Project Sunshine at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, Jordan is involved in research with the Maly Lab in the UW Department of Chemistry. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family, friends and her two puppies!
Sammy is a senior studying molecular, cellular & developmental biology with a minor in global health. Sammy intends to get an MPH and become a physician working in sub-Saharan Africa in the future. Outside of AED, Sammy is an auction coordinator for Camp Kesem at UW, a META instructor, currently studying to become an EMT, and does infectious disease research at Fred Hutch. Sammy loves hiking, cycling, skiing and dogs! :)
Hey everyone! My name is Sol, and I am a senior majoring in Physiology with a minor in Neural Computation and Engineering. I joined AED in my sophomore year, and I've loved it ever since. In my free time I volunteer at a blood bank, research at the Diabetes Institute in South Lake Union, and play League with my friends. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about meetings or social events, since things will look slightly different from past years. Here's to another great year!
Michaela is a junior from California majoring in Psychology with an intended minor in Microbiology. She volunteers for the student-led nonprofit TeleHealth Access for Seniors, as well as Meals on Wheels San Francisco. She also volunteered at Kaiser Permanente before the start of the pandemic and hopes to resume soon. In addition, Michaela is a research assistant for the Katz Lab in the UW Department of Psychology. In her free time, she loves to cook, travel, cycle, and spend quality time with friends and family.
Ryan is a Senior planning to major in Neuroscience or Molecular Biology.
He volunteers at Providence Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia and his specialty interests are Orthopedics and Neurology. He also works as the Scholarship Chair for his fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys skateboarding and making music.
Kikki is a junior majoring in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology with a minor in global health. She is one of the CLUE chemistry tutors, Camp Kesem counselors, and does immunology research in Dr. Jennifer Lund's lab at Fred Hutch. In her free time she loves to travel, play soccer, hike, listen to music, and find the best cafes to study in :)
Christina is a graduating junior majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Math. She works for the Wang Lab in the CSE department, researching Skeletal Muscle Stem Cell through computational approaches. In addition, she is part of the Washington iGEM team working on preventing heavy metal poisoning through bioengineered probiotics. Outside of school, she volunteers with the COPE at the Swedish Medical Center. In her free time, she loves reading, playing tennis, and practicing the violin.
