ABOUT AED AT UW
Welcome to a new year at the University of Washington! I am so excited to welcome you all to a wonderful year of AED.
This has been a year of unknowns and unexpected developments. Despite all of this, we are determined to bring you the best experience possible. We are adding new activities and opportunities for everyone to get involved in and I think you’ll really enjoy them. AED has given me so much information and inspired me to push my comfort zone to try new things and improve myself in preparation for medical school and beyond. I hope I can extend this same experience to you while navigating your time here. I also hope that you will take advantage of this community of similarly focused people and use it to find new friends. In this era of remote events, connections are more important than ever, and I hope you will find that here in AED.
We have a packed schedule of events this year from physician panels to case studies and MCAT prep nights. We will also be hosting an array of volunteer opportunities that will give you experience relevant to medicine. We also plan to host socials where you can get to know other pre-health students here at UW. Keep an eye on the calendar and your inboxes for events! I’m excited for the year and everything it may bring. I hope you’ll enjoy AED as much as I do.
