AED's Week 6

Hello AED Members,

AED's got some exciting opportunities and events coming up! This email contains links to allot of opportunities that are still open, make the most out of them! This week there will be no events for AED. Yet next week, we will be having our Fourth General Meeting on Tuesday, November 17th from 6-7 pm in GWN 301.This meeting will be a physician's panel, one of our most popular meetings of the quarter. It will feature doctors in a variety of fields such as a cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, and plastic surgery. Come prepared with questions for these wonderful physicians! PLEASE remember to RSVP here: https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/ajunram/285825.

The AED study groups are finally here!

Included in this e-mail is a link to the survey where you can fill in your classes and availability so we can match you up with a study group. The study groups are perfect if you are looking for others in your class to study with or to procrastinate with, we don't judge.

Here is the catalyst survey: https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/turianl/283890

Become An Official Member!

As a huge reminder, if you haven't emailed an officer yet about setting up an INTERVIEW to become an official member then you should do that ASAP. If you are still interested in being involved and are not an official member, find the necessary information here and then email any of the officers.

Mentorship Programs

Make sure you are an official AED UW member to be eligible for these programs!

OFFICER STUDENT MENTORSHIP:

The Officer Mentorship Program is now available, if your looking for someone to provide support and information as you proceed as a pre-medical student here on campus, then fill out this survey here! AED officers are a great resource for you to get more information about AED, being pre-med, getting involved on campus, what classes to take, etc. It is also a great way to have a smaller cohort within AED as well and meet new people who have the same course schedule as you. Read the officer biographies here and select your top two for the survey linked above.

MEDICAL STUDENT MENTORSHIP

The medical student mentor survey is available! Fill it out to be eligible to be matched up with a med student at the UWSOM. This is an amazing opportunity to ask a med student about medical school, how they got there and any advice they have for you. The survey can be found here.
